Marquette Law Poll shows 2-way race between Barnes-Lasry, with 48 days to go.

Just released Marquette University Law School Poll shows the Democratic US Senate Primary is a two-man race between Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes and son of Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Alex Lasry with just 47 days until the August 9th primary election.

Barnes holds a slim lead over Lasry at 25 to 21% of those polled.

A deciding factor could be if other candidates State Treasurer Sarah Godlewski at 9% or Outagamie County Executive Tom Nelson at 7% dropout and do or do not endorse another candidate.

A sizable 36% of respondents are still undecided. Turnout will play major role as midterm elections traditionally have lower voter participation, even lower in midterm primaries.

Candidate debates and ad spending will also likely play some role in helping voters make their final decision before casting their ballot.

The winner of the primary will face incumbent Republican Senator Ron Johnson.
